  • Modern Lov Wedding Photography is the brand Pedro Castelhano developed over 20 years of shooting weddings.

    It’s a partnership between it’s creator Pedro Castelhano and Tomás.

    Pedro's extensive experience in capturing timeless moments is complemented by Tomás' youthful and irreverent approach, resulting in a dynamic fusion of traditional and modern wedding photography.

    The business is primarily run by Pedro, but Tomás helps with all photo shooting and editing.

  • Easy! Send us an email and see if your wedding date is still available. If it is and you are happy with our packages, then we will send you out a deposit value to reserve the date. Thats it! Super easy. Oh, and we are more than happy to catch up for a coffee and a chat anytime!

  • We sure can. We love to have our clients to visit the studio before the wedding. If that is not possible because of distance, then Skype or Whatsapp is always a great option.

  • Yes of course! You can purchase an album at any time, that includes parent albums. A lot of my clients order their album for Christmas or on their first year anniversary.

  • We feel the same way, but also respect the classic portraits for those who love them. We wont be making you smile for every photo. In fact you won’t notice that we are there for most of the day. When it comes to the couples session, we can give enough direction so you feel comfortable and not to much so you are still looking very natural.

  • You will expect to receive your photos around 4 to 6 weeks after the wedding (up to 8 weeks if we’re are overbooked with work). If you have ordered an album, it will take up to 3 weeks for printing after it is complete.

  • You will receive the images that we have carefully selected, edited and finished (approximately 800-1100 images). The photos are delivered in full resolution which is perfect for prints. You can ask them to be resized for social media and email. So you can share your images as soon as you get them.If you have ordered an Album, we will work with you to make sure it is exactly how you want it. It can be ready just weeks after you receive your photos.

  • Sure we do and we love them! They turn to be, some of the times, way more emotional than regular weddings.

  • The type of wedding can affect the color grade used in our photos as different wedding styles and themes may lend themselves to different color grades. For example, a rustic or beach wedding may suit warmer tones, while a modern or minimalist wedding may suit cooler, more muted tones.

ABOUT MODERN LOV

While brainstorming names, we knew that we wanted something that would convey a sense of contemporary style and timeless elegance.

Modern Lov was chosen for a few different reasons. Firstly, it had to be a name that would appeal to modern couples who are looking for something fresh and unique for their wedding photography. The word "modern" conveys a sense of innovation and forward-thinking, which we believe is important in an industry that is constantly evolving.

At the same time, it had to be a name that would capture the timeless romance and beauty of a wedding day. The word "lov" is a nod to the classic sentiment of love, and its unconventional spelling adds a touch of modernity and uniqueness.

Together, the words "Modern Lov" create a name that is both contemporary and classic, sophisticated and approachable. It conveys a sense of style and elegance, while also capturing the warmth and intimacy of a wedding day.

Ultimately, we believe that the name "Modern Lov" perfectly encapsulates the philosophy and aesthetic of our wedding photography. It speaks to our passion for capturing the beauty and emotion of each couple's unique love story, while also reflecting our commitment to staying current and innovative in our approach.
